But Sienkiewicz, armed with literature, enthusiasm and a lot of unconventional ideas, will challenge the group doome...。卖炭维生的善良少年炭治郎，某天家人惨遭鬼杀害。而唯一幸存的妹妹祢豆子，却变化成鬼。遭到绝望现实打击的炭治郎，为了让妹妹恢复回人类，为了被杀害的家人向鬼报仇，决定踏上”猎鬼”之路。。一个收银员从摄影器材店收了一张假钞票被拉上法庭，法官念他初犯，无罪释放，但他却失了业。友人叫他一起去打却银行，怎知功败垂成，被拉入狱。入狱期间，家庭已生变化。出狱后，他寄居一间旅店内，在那里他杀死了人。后来他到别处得到一个老太婆的收医，他发觉老太婆被别人欺侮，他问老太婆为什么不反抗，她说：「人生就是这样。」终于他把该家人全都杀死，包括老太婆在内。然后他到咖啡馆等候警方来拘捕。。
