1985年之前，乔四是一个普通瓦砖工人，因妹妹考学、母亲重病，被一穷二白的家境逼上绝路，不得不进城谋求财路。奈何人性复杂，老实的穷人处处被人欺压侮辱。为了家人，乔四不得不奋起反抗，在求财的道路上频出险招，他倒卖盗版光盘、入赘豪门。。This would definitely not have been my kind of movie, but my husband saw it on TV and said it was really good. So, on his recommendation, I bought a copy, since I didn't know if it would ever be on TV again. I had never heard of anybody in it except Armand Assante.
