圣约翰大学实验室女教授于胜男（李若斯饰）和科学家康华生（徐亮饰）结伴来至梧县，调查总探长洪涛的老友——狱警老苏州苏义——公报私仇杀害某黑帮头目的案子。案情扑朔迷离，老苏州也供认不讳，但胜男、华生二人通过缜密的调查还是发现该案的蹊跷之处。他们合力拆穿了作为目击证人刘小三的虚假证词，而刘小三为避免被周彪的狱中同伙杀害，恳求胜男二人帮他转到上海监狱，为此他愿意将“铁镜公主”的线索作为交换条件。铁镜公主数年前是名震上海滩的女杀手，她手段残忍，形迹诡异，始终不曾被警方抓住任何把柄。 在梧县狱警小吴的配合下，胜男等人踏上押解刘小三的旅程。谁知更大的危险等在前方……。A fourth season of 12 episodes has been confirmed and will premiere on June 23, 2014 on MTV.
