该剧讲述了刑警大案队副大队长申铁虎破案的故事。。温小暖（徐好饰）是表演系毕业的学生，同时也是一名黄梅戏爱好者。为了将黄梅戏这一渐渐没落的戏种发扬光大，温小暖不惜放弃了可以成名的大好机会，甘愿去剧组跑龙套。一天，温小暖接下了一个特殊的任务——假扮成安宁文化总经理叶非墨（王冠逸饰）的女朋友，陪他出席晚宴。在一来二去之中，温小暖竟然住进了叶非墨家里，两人开始了同居生活。刚开始，性格迥异的两人都看对方不顺眼，温小暖觉得叶非墨总是高高在上，而叶非墨觉得温小暖就是个土包子。但随着时间的推移，两人都在彼此身上找到了不为人知的闪光点，就在他们的感情渐渐升温之际，叶非墨的前女友再度回到了他的身边。。When his sister's classmate, Leelaa, comes to spend the summer at his family home, a friendship is forged in few days and when our hero decides to take off on a road trip across the country, Leela is more than ready to join him.
