Comedy about the proverbial genie who comes out of a bottle (a table lamp in this instance) to serve his new master. The only problem is that instead of helping his master, the genie (Burl Ives) tends to get his master (Tony Randall) into more predicaments than he gets him out of.。作为一个在纽约市的非法出租车司机托姆刚开始经营不久，克莱尔雇用他开车送她到加州后见她患病的父亲。。霸道女总裁路瑾为了摆脱被包办婚姻的命运决定逃婚，殊不知自居“合法老公”的方衍直接出现在了她的家中……为了赶走所谓的“老公”，路瑾想方设法百般刁难，却还是入了方衍的圈套。而这对欢喜冤家也在日复一日的“斗争”中被对方深深吸引，女霸总逐渐为爱化身为温柔御姐，却得知了方衍的惊天秘密……。
